Teen Patti vs Andar Bahar – Which Live Casino Game to Start With

Indian card games have taken the international live casino world by storm. When punters open the live casino lobby on Lotus999, the two most popular tables by player volume are undoubtedly Teen Patti and Andar Bahar. Both feature real streaming human dealers, but each caters to distinctly different player preferences.

Overview: Teen Patti Live

Often referred to as *Indian Poker* or *Flush*, Teen Patti is played with a standard 52-card deck without jokers. In live dealer formats like 20-20 Teen Patti:

• The dealer deals three cards each to Player A and Player B.
• Hands are ranked from highest to lowest: Trail (Trio/Set), Pure Sequence, Sequence, Color (Flush), Pair, and High Card.
• Players can wager on who will hold the stronger hand or place side bets on whether specific combinations (like a Trio or Straight Flush) will appear.
• Payouts for side bets can reach up to 40:1 for rare pure trails.

Overview: Andar Bahar Live

Originating in southern India, Andar Bahar is a pure game of chance renowned for its simplicity:

• The dealer reveals a single card in the center (often called the *Joker* or *Trump* card).
• Players bet on whether a matching card rank will land on the *Andar* (inside) pile or the *Bahar* (outside) pile.
• Cards are dealt alternately until the matching rank appears.
• Because the dealer places the first card on Andar, Andar holds a slight statistical probability edge (51.5% vs 48.5%).
